We want to give you an overview of all our events in 2022. It’s been an exciting journey since we founded the society in August 2022.

We’ve been so grateful to have met so many Asian professionals from different countries and regions of Germany. So far, we’ve had the pleasure of organizing 5 events – 2 online and 3 offline events. Our online events included a virtual meet and greet to get to know each other and a networking event specifically for Asian students and young professionals. We also hosted offline events like Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese lunches in different cities (Düsseldorf and Cologne).

In our online events, we had the chance to introduce our society and answer questions about our goals, vision, and future plans. These events also helped us to have more ideas about organizing events. Some people who attended our virtual events later showed up at our in-person events.

Our first offline event was the “Korean Lunch” at the Seoul Restaurant in Düsseldorf on September 10th, 2022. It was great to meet such a diverse group of young Asian professionals from Germany, China, Vietnam, Mongolia, Iraq, and Kazakhstan.

In our second offline meeting (15.10.2022), we had the privilege to meet young Asian professionals from Vietnam, Germany, Hong Kong/UK and Korea/Canada.

Our group enjoyed authentic Chinese food and shared exciting stories about living/working in Germany & Asia.

After the event, some of us even had bubble tea and explored Cologne city together.

It was such a fun and adventurous day!

Our third offline event, the “Vietnamese Lunch” at the To 1980 Street Food Restaurant in Düsseldorf on November 19th, 2022, was also a blast. It was our pleasure to meet another diverse group of young Asian professionals from Germany, Vietnam, India, South Korea/Canada, and the Philippines. We talked about our experiences working in Germany and Asia and shared our future goals in life. Some people even tried Vietnamese food for the first time and loved it! After lunch, we headed to the famous Namu Cafe for some Bingsu (Korean shaved ice cream) and Matcha latte drinks. It was also the first day of the Düsseldorf Christmas market, so some of us visited the market to drink some mulled wine. Everything looked so magical and was the perfect way to end the day.

That wraps up our events for 2022!

We hope you had fun! We plan to continue providing events for our community to connect, socialize, and learn from each other in 2023.

Stay tuned!
